Alien Zombie Death (PSN Mini) Review

Alien Zombie Death is an arcade simple game where you shoot and jump, good old fashioned fun from PomPom Games.

The gameplay really is you're basic fun stuff. You can shoot left or right and jump up and down the several platforms on the level shooting all the Aliens, the aim of the game being to simply get a high score. You can also pick up power ups that'll give you laser guns, three way shooters and rocket launchers. Picking up coins will also give you some bonus points and picking up health capsules will restore a life, you have a three lives and getting hit will destroy one. Some levels ontop of the enemies will contain obstacles that you will have to doge, this can make some of the levels very hectic. You'll have enemies running left, right and center and you'll be dodging stuff, don't expect to last to long in a level.

Beating certain challenges in level will unlock a point towards unlocking the next level, challenges being stuff like kill one-hundred of these enemies and pick up five bonus coins. Theres a total of fourteen of levels each give you a few different Aliens to kill and slightly different looking levels. you'll properly be able to unlock and beat all the levels in an hour or so, going back to beat all the challenges will take you quite a lot of time.

The levels looks good but theres isn't that big of a look difference between them all, but the enemies do look different and good. Not one of the Aliens look the same or come at you the same way, different tactics have to be taken for the different Aliens so this ain't just shoot and jump.

The music isn't all that great but it suits the space themes, id like to have a bit more of a range of music for different levels. But it is also very retro and that to suits the theme.

Alien Zombie Death is very simply and very fun, this is what a Mini is, pick it up get int quick and get out. Its a pity you cant shoot up or change the difficulty, but still Alien killing is a lot of fun and this is still a great game.
