Remember Me Review (2010)

Remember Me Review

Remember me is the first screenplay by Will Fetters and is Directed by Allen Coulter (The Sopranos.)

The story is one of relationships and family, Robert Pattinson (The Twilight Saga) plays Tyler Hawkins who is going through a ruff time ever since his older brother committed suicide. His family is a mess and he is leading a life set on going downhill. One night hes walking down a street with his friend Aiden Hall (Tate Ellington) when he sees a fight break out, deciding to try and break it up he gets arrested by Sgt. Neil Craig (Chris Cooper.) To get back at the cop Aiden finds out his daughter, Ally Craig played by Emily De Ravin (Lost) is at there school and sends Tyler in to get some revenge.

The plot is hard to explain and id just stick to the idea that this movie is about family and relationships. Pierce Brosnan (Percy Jackson) is Tyler's dad, a major company leader and does a fair job portraying the word before family father. Ruby Jerins (Nurse Jackie) is fantastic as Tyler's younger sister and Robert Pattinson as Tyler himself gives a fantastic performance and also a truly believable tension is given on screen between him and De Revin.

The movie is shot wonderfully giving a raw and realistic look to the city and the people in it. Its also edited to match the way its shot, giving you a film that you know doesn't look that different to others but for some reason you cant help but say it does look magic.

At first glance this may look like another romance movie you've seen time over before, but this a gut wrenching film. The only problem i had with it was the last few minutes at the end of the film that seemed un-necessary without could have made a totally different film.
